1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
2. Grease a standard sized loaf pan.
3. Cream together shortening and
sugar.
4. Add eggs and bananas.
5. Mix well.
6. Mix in dry ingredients.
7. Add and stir
in nuts and chocolate chips.
8. Pour into loaf pan.
9. Bake for one hour, or until bread is firm on top.
10.
Let cool in pan for 10 minutes.
11. Turn out and finish cooling on rack to prevent sweating.
This makes a great bread without the chocolate chips; but it is grand with them!!
