Holiday Morning French Toast

Ingredients:

brown sugar
butter, melted
cinnamon (divided)
can apple pie filling, or 3 tart apples, sliced
dried cranberries or raisins
Texas Toast or French bread, sliced
large eggs
milk
vanilla
Procedure:

1.  Preheat oven to 357ºF.
2   Combine brown sugar, butter, and 1 tsp cinnamon in a 13" x 9" dish.
3.  Add apples & cranberries, toss to coat.
4.  Spread evenly over bottom of dish.
5.  Arrange bread on top.
6.  Mix eggs, milk, vanilla, & remaining 2 tsp cinnamon.
7.  Pour mixture over bread, soak bread completely.
8.  Cover and refrigerate 4 to 24 hours.
9.  Cover with aluminum foil.
10.  Bake for 40 min.
11.  Uncover and bake 5 minutes or until golden.

Serve warm.

Invert onto a decorative dish for a pretty appearance, or, serve right from baking dish.
