The Ladybugs' Recipes

Baked French Toast

Ingredients:
10 oz

1 c

large loaf french bread
sugar
sour cream
milk
eggs beaten
vanilla
almondine flavoring
Procedure:
 
1.  Grease a 9" x 13" baking dish.
2.  Slice french bread into about 1/2 " or thicker portions.
3.  Combine sugar, sour cream, milk, eggs and flavorings.
4.  Dip bread slices in batter, brown on both sides.
5.  Arrange browned slices attractively in baking dish.
6.  Pour remaining batter over bread and cover.
7.  Refrigerate overnight.

8.  Bake at 325º for 30 minutes, uncovered.
9.  Serve with favorite syrup.

Serves 6 to 8 at least.

Used to make this a lot at the one B & B I worked at.
