Chicken and Dumpling Casserole

Ingredients:

2 c
1/2 stick
2 c
2 c
1 can
3 tsp
1/2 tsp
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
chicken breasts, cooked and shredded ( you can use a store bought rotisserie chicken)
chicken broth
butter
bisquick
whole milk
cream of chicken soup (the herbed cream of chicken soup if you can find it)
chicken granules (bullion)
dried sage
black pepper
salt or more to taste

 

Procedure:

Preheat your oven to 350° F
Layer 1

  1. Melt 1/2 stick of butter in 9 x 13 casserole dish.
  2. Spread the shredded chicken over butter.
  3. Sprinkle black pepper and dried sage over this layer.
  4. Do not stir.
Layer 2
  1. In a small bowl, mix the milk and Bisquick.
  2. Slowly pour evenly all over chicken.
  3. Again do not stir.
Layer 3
  1. In medium bowl, whisk together 2 cups of chicken broth, the chicken granules and the chicken soup.
  2. Once all mixed, slowly pour over the Bisquick layer.
  3. Again do not Stir.
Bake the casserole for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown
