Olive Bread (Gateau Au Jambon et Aux olives)

Ingredients:

1 1/2 c
3/4 c
flour
baking powder
lightly beaten eggs
(scant) olive oil
freshly ground black pepper to taste
ham cut in small cubes
Swiss or Gruyere cheese grated
green pitted olives sliced

Procedure:
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Mix flour and baking powder in large bowl.
  3. Add eggs, olive oil and pepper.
  4. Mix thoroughly, using hands if necessary.
  5. Fold in cheese, olives and ham.
  6. Spread in greased loaf pan.
  7. Bake for about 45 minutes or until it tests done in the center and is golden brown on top.
