can 1 can 1 1/2 tsp 1 tsp 1/2 - 1 tsp 1 T dash 1 tsp 12 oz 1/2 c
chopped
celery chopped onion garlic, minced (I use 3 or 4 cloves when I make it!) vegetable oil (16oz) diced tomatoes
(8oz)seasoned tomato sauce salt sugar chili powder Worchestershire sauce Tabasco sauce (I use more
than a dash in mine!) cornstarch cleaned shrimp chopped green bell pepper
Procedure:
Cook celery, onion, and garlic in hot oil until tender but not brown.
Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, and seasonings.
Simmer uncovered for 45 minutes.
Mix cornstarch with 2 teaspoons water; stir into sauce.
Cook and stir until mixture thickens.
Add shrimp and green pepper.
Cover.
Simmer until done, about 5 minutes.
Serve over rice.
