Green Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients:
1 1/2 c
1 tsp
1/2 tsp

brown sugar **
cinnamon
nutmeg
green pumpkin, sliced thin
butter/oleo
flour
cider vinegar
crust for a 9" 2-crust pie
melted butter (optional - but I prefer)
cinnamon sugar (optional - but I prefer)
** Not sure of this measurement. I fill the bottom crust to a depth of about 3/4" with brown sugar!
Procedure:
  1. Preheat oven to 400° F.

  2. Put the bottom crust into a 9" pie pan.
  3. Fill the bottom crust with 3/4" of brown sugar.
  4. Fill crust to heaping with sliced green pumpkin.
  5. Sprinkle spices over pumpkin slices.
  6. Sprinkle flour over pumpkin slices.
  7. Dot with butter/oleo.
  8. Pour vinegar over the spices.
  9. Add top crust and seal.
  10. Brush top crust with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar if desired.
  11. Bake for 45 minutes.
  12. Then reduce heat to 300° F and continue baking for another 30 minutes.
Very much like a sour apple pie and really yummy!
