Sinfully Good Chocolate Bars

Ingredients:
1 pkg
2/3 c
2/3 c
3/4 c
1 pkg
(8) Pillsbury crescent rolls
butter
brown sugar
chopped nuts of any type
(12 oz) chocolate chips
Procedure:
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Lightly butter or spray a 13" x 9" baking dish.
  3. Spread crescent roll dough into the pan being careful to seal any perforations in the dough
       Do this by pinching the dough together with wet fingers where needed.
  4. Leave small ridge around the edge of the dough.
  5. Sprinkle chopped nuts evenly over the dough.
  6. On the stove top bring butter & brown sugar to a boil.
  7. Pour over dough.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top.
  10. Let melt, then spread with the back of a spoon.
  11. Place pan in refrigerator to cool until chocolate is set.
  12. Slice into small bars.

These are very decadent so I usually cut these into small squares.
For a pretty presentation place squares into paper mini muffin baking cups.
This recipe packs on the calories but everyone always wants the recipe when I serve it.
