Coconut Blizzard Cake

Ingredients:
1 box
2 c
4 drops
2/3 c
1 container
white cake mix
shredded coconut
red food coloring
seedless strawberry preserves
(16 oz) whipped topping
Procedure:
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Prepare cake mix according to directions.
  3. Stir in 1/2 cup coconut and food coloring.
  4. Pour into 2 greased 8" round cake pans.
  5. Bake and cool.
  6. Divide each layer into two layers horizontally. (I use dental floss.)
  7. Spread 1/3 cup of the preserves on one of the divided layer bottoms.
  8. Add the top to it.
  9. Top that with 1/2 cup of the whipped topping.
  10. Add bottom half of the next layer.
  11. Top with remaining preserves.
  12. Add top of this layer.
  13. Coat cake with remaining whipped topping and coconut.
A very moist cake!
