Cheesy grits
From:  Seren
Ingredients:
4 c
1 c
1 tsp
1 or 2

1
2 or 3

water
quick grits
salt
rolls of garlic cheese
(by Kraft, in the refrigerated section, with cream cheese and such)
stick margarine
eggs, plus enough milk to make a cup of liquid
a few dashes of Tabasco
Procedure:
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Cook the grits and water and salt til the grits thicken up.
  3. Melt the butter and cheese rolls together in the microwave, or just cut them up, and toss them into the grits mixture and still til combined and smooth.
  4. Mix the eggs and milk, and blend them in.
  5. Add the Tabasco, too and blend.
  6. Pam a 2-quart casserole dish and pour the stuff in.
  7. Bake for about an hour.
Now I also throw in a handful of Parmesan, and put some grated Cheddar on top...and best of all, I like to add in some green chilies, chopped up, or some fresh jalapenos, chopped up.
