The Ladybugs' Recipes

Cheese Biscuits / Straws

Ingredients:
1 c
1/4 tsp
1/4 tsp
1 stick
2/3 lb
 
self-rising flour
salt
yellow mustard
margarine
extra sharp (NY style) cheddar cheese, grated extra fine
pecan halves
Procedure:

1.  Preheat oven to 325ºF.
2.  In mixer, combine cheese and margarine, and mix very well.
3.  Gradually add other ingredients. (Use dough hook, if you have one for your mixer.)
4.  Roll out on floured board, and cut with a small biscuit cutter.
5   Place on lightly greased baking sheet, about an inch apart.
6.  Place a pecan in the center of each biscuit.
7.  Bake for 10-12 minutes.

Be careful not to overbake.
Makes around 100 biscuits.
And yes, they freeze!
