Bordertown Chicken

chicken, boiled and boned
onion, chopped
green pepper, chopped
grated cheese
chili powder
cream of mushroom soup
cream of chicken soup
tomatoes and green chilies
flour tortillas
chicken broth saved from boiling chicken
Procedure:
  1. Preheat the oven to 375º F (175º C).
  2. Grease a 3 quart casserole dish or a 9"x13" pan.
  3. Line up all the ingredients except for the cans.
  4. Use 1/3 of each ingredient per layer.
  5. Dip the tortillas in the saved chicken broth before adding them to the layers.
  6. Layer the ingredients in your baking dish in the following order:
    • dipped tortillas
    • chicken
    • onion
    • green pepper
    • chili powder
    • cheese.
  7. Repeat the layers 2 more times.
  8. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cans of soup and can of tomatoes and chilies.
  9. Mix well and pour over the top of your layers.
  10. Bake for 45 minutes or until bubbly.
