(8 oz) cream cheese
egg
white sugar
salt
semisweet chocolate chips
 
all-purpose flour
white sugar
cocoa
baking soda
salt
water
vegetable oil
distilled white vinegar
vanilla extract
Procedure:

1.  Preheat oven to 350ºF (175º C).
2.  Lightly butter muffin tins and set aside.
3.  Beat together the cream cheese, egg, sugar and salt.
4.  Stir in chocolate chips and set aside.
5.  In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
6.  Add the water, oil, vinegar, and vanilla.
7.  Beat until well combined. Batter will be thin.
8.  Fill muffin cups 1/3 full with the chocolate batter.
9.  Top each one with a spoonful of cream cheese mixture.
10.  Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.

Makes 24 servings
