Eggnog Cookies

Ingredients:

Cookie:
1 c
3/4 c

2 c
1/2 tsp
1/4 tsp
butter
sugar
egg
vanilla
rum extract
sifted flour
nutmeg
salt

Frosting:
1 c
4 T
1 tsp
 
confectioners sugar, sifted
butter
rum extract
milk
Procedure:

1.  Preheat oven to 350ºF.
2.  Cream together the butter and sugar.
3.  Add egg, vanilla and rum extract.
4.  Mix well.
5.  Combine dry ingredients and mix into butter mixture.
6.  Chill at least 1 hour.
7.  Roll into balls and bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 to 12 minutes.
8.  Watch carefully, cookie bottoms burn easily!
9.  Frost when cool.

Frosting:
Mix ingredients, adding milk 1 teaspoonful at a time until frosting is soft and easy to spread.

Yields: 3 dozen cookies.
