Crunchy Fudge Sandwiches

Ingredients:

Top Layer
1 pkg
1/2 c
4 c
(6oz) butterscotch morsels
peanut butter
Rice Krispies

Bottom Layer
1 T
1 pkg
1/2 c
2 T
water
(6oz) semi-sweet morsels
sifted confectioners sugar
butter or margarine
Procedure:

Top Layer:
1.  Melt butterscotch morsels with peanut butter in microwave.
2.  Remove, add cereal stirring until well coated with mixture.
3.  Press 1/2 mixture into well buttered 8" x 8" x 2" pan.
4.  Chill in refrigerator while preparing fudge mixture.
5.  Set remaining cereal mixture aside.

Bottom Layer:
1.  Combine chocolate, sugar, butter(or margarine)and water.
2.  Melt in microwave stirring until smooth.
3.  Spread over chilled cereal, top with remaining cereal.
4.  Press gently, chill.
5.  Remove from refrigerator 10 minutes before cutting into 1 1/2" squares.

Makes about 25.

I double this recipe and put it in a 13" x 9" x 2" pan.
