The Ladybugs' Recipes

Toasted Pecans

Ingredients:
1 lb
2 - 3 T
 
pecan halves
butter or margarine
salt to taste
Procedure:

1.  Preheat oven to 250ºF.
2.  Cover the bottom of a 9" x 13" pan with pecan halves.
3.  Bake for about 1 hour stirring every 15 minutes, shaking pan after stirring to keep at single layer.
4.  When completely toasted (they may not be dark), put 2 to 3 tablespoons of butter cut into pieces in pan.
5.  Stir to coat pecans.
6.  You may return pan to oven briefly to melt butter.
7.  When pecans are coated, turn out to drain on paper towels or brown paper.
8.  Salt to taste immediately.

Serve warm or store in airtight container.
