butter
packed light brown sugar
almond or vanilla extract
(4 oz.) milk chocolate bars broken into pieces
Procedure:

1.  Preheat oven to 400ºF.
2.  Line a 15" x 10" jelly roll pan with foil.
3.  Lightly spray with non-stick cooking spray.
4.  Place saltines, salty side up in prepared pan, side by side to make an even layer.
5.  Boil butter and sugar for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
6.  Remove from heat and stir in extract.
7.  Pour mixture over crackers evenly and bake for 4 to 6 minutes.
8.  Remove from oven and top with candy bars, spreading evenly as candy melts.
9.  Cool slightly and transfer onto waxed paper or keep candy in baking pan.
10.  Refrigerate until it "hardens".
11.  Either cut or I like to break the Bark into pieces.
12.  Store in refrigerator.

Freezes really nicely and is ready to eat even frozen, doesn't get rock hard, just really crispy crunchy!
