Creamy Cake Filling

Ingredients:
5 T
1 c
1/2 c
1/2 c
1 c
1 tsp
flour
milk
shortening
margarine
sugar
vanilla
Procedure:

1.  Mix flour and milk in a saucepan and cook until the consistency of a thin white sauce.
2.  Cream together the other ingredients.
3.  Add white sauce and mix well using an electric mixer. It will look ‘curdled’ at first but becomes very smooth as you continue mixing.

Makes a wonderful between layers filling or exceptionally light frosting for pan cakes. Can be used to fill cream puffs.
