Rhubarb Meringue Pie

2 - 4 c

2 T
1 tsp
unbaked pie shell....9" size
juice of 1 really good variety of juice type orange
(makes such a difference in the taste)
sour cream
flour (heaping spoonful)
egg yolks (save egg whites for meringue)
almond extract (optional)

1.  Preheat oven to 350 - 375F.
2.  Mix all ingredients except rhubarb until smooth.
3.  Add rhubarb.
4.  Pour into unbaked shell.
5.  Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until "set in the middle".

The meringue I leave to you! Oh, I usually put a little almond extract in the meringue, too.

Hope you like it, I even won a modest little local pie baking contest with this recipe!
