Italian-Style Vegetable Soup

1 12oz pkg
1 28oz can
2 c
1 15oz can
1 14oz can
1 12oz can
2 tsp
1 tsp
1/2 tsp
1 16oz bag
uncooked corkscrew or shell pasta
crushed tomatoes in puree
white beans, rinsed and drained
vegetable broth
cola beverage
cloves garlic, minced
bay leaf
Italian seasoning blend
white pepper
frozen mixed Italian vegetables
juice of one half lemon

1.  Cook pasta, drain, and set aside.
2   Combine tomatoes, water, beans, broth, cola , garlic and bay leaf in a large Dutch oven.
3.  Add seasoning blend, salt and white pepper.
4.  Bring to a boil.
5.  Put pasta in.
6.  Reduce heat and simmer 10-15 minutes or until heated through.
7.  Remove bay leaf.
8.  Stir in lemon juice.
