Cheese Broccoli Soup

1 lb
1/2 c
1/2 c
2 tsp

4 c
chopped celery
medium onion, chopped
fresh broccoli, chopped
butter or margarine
salt or to taste
pepper or to taste
process American cheese, cut in -inch cubes
shredded cheddar cheese

1.  Bring 2 cups of water to boil in large saucepan, add celery, onion and broccoli, cover and cook 10 min. until crisp-tender.
2.  Do not drain vegetables.
3.  For sauce, melt butter in another saucepan; blend in flour, salt and pepper.
4.  Cook, stirring, for 1 min.
5.  Stir in milk; cook until mixture thickens.
6.  Stir in cheese and cook until melted; add the undrained vegetables; stir to blend.
